NEW DAY FOR CHILDREN
New Day for Children was founded in 2009 in response to the escalating crisis of child sex trafficking in the San Francisco Bay Area—and the glaring absence of long-term, trauma-informed care for young survivors.
Determined to change that reality, Jon Blankmeyer and a group of committed friends took action. They partnered with what would become New Day’s first restorative care program, creating a safe haven where exploited children could begin their journey of healing.
Today, New Day for Children leads the nation with the largest network of trauma-informed residential programs specifically designed for child survivors of sex trafficking. Through its expanding alliance of trusted partners across the country, New Day provides children with the opportunity for lasting transformation, hope, and healing.
Entirely privately funded, New Day offers comprehensive, individualized care - including safe housing, trauma-informed therapy, education, and life skills development - giving each child the support they need to rebuild their lives.
As this national network continues to grow, so does the opportunity to reach and restore more young lives - one child at a time.
